Foodie Favorites, Most Romantic, Best In US: MD Restaurants 2017

The Maryland restaurant scene snagged quite a few accolades in 2017: several prestigious Open Table lists included Charm State eateries as the most romantic or scenic spots to go out. As 2017 winds down it's a good time to look back at some of the rankings that gave high marks to Maryland food, from the best seafood to be found in Annapolis, great dive bars, the most scenic spots on the Eastern Shore and two of the best restaurants in the country, which can be found in Baltimore.

OpenTable has released its list of the 100 Best Restaurants in America for 2017, and three Maryland restaurants made the cut. One of them was in Owings Mills, while two were in Baltimore City.

Being a "foodie" — someone obsessed with culinary finds — has its perks, including discovering great meals at one-of-a-kind restaurants. It's that kind of experience that put Owings Mill's Linwoods on Open Table's new "100 Best Restaurants for Foodies in America." The other Baltimore find on the list: the city's Charleston restaurant.

3 Maryland Restaurants Among 100 'Most Scenic' In America: Open Table

Three Maryland restaurants are among the nation's 100 "most scenic" dining spots, according to a list released earlier this month by OpenTable. The 100 Most Scenic Restaurants list for 2017 highlights dining spots that offer "breath-taking views of nature, cityscapes and travel-worthy landmarks," according to the website. In Maryland's case, that means two Eastern Shore waterfront eateries and one with mountain views.
