An Annapolis man arrested for stealing a car soon had 82 more charges tacked on for using stolen credit cards, police say.

ANNAPOLIS, MD —An Annapolis man arrested for stealing a car soon had 82 more charges tacked on for using stolen credit cards, police say. Warren Holliday, 26, was initially arrested July 14 after Annapolis Police officers in the 1100 block of President Street located a Hyundai Santa Fe that was reported stolen to the Anne Arundel County Police Department. The empty vehicle was unoccupied, but as officers watched, Holliday got into the SUV and started driving.
When a marked patrol vehicle moved behind the stolen vehicle, police say Holliday ran from the SUV to the 1100 block of Frederick Douglass Street, where he was found in a residence and arrested. Holliday was charged with the unlawful taking of a motor vehicle, theft and multiple traffic violations. He was released on his own recognizance by the district court commissioner.
When police arrested Holliday they reportedly found evidence linking him to a burglary and theft from vehicle that both occurred July 5 in the 100 block of Sumner Rod. Credit cards stolen in those crimes were subsequently used by Holliday at various locations, authorities say.
