Skip The Drive: Free Bus Connects Annapolis To DC Metro

ANNE ARUNDEL COUNTY, MD — A new bus route is officially connecting the Annapolis area to the Metro service line, providing residents with wider access to the D.C. region

The free express route runs daily between 5 a.m. and 7 p.m. from Annapolis Mall to the New Carrollton Metro Station in Prince George's County. The route includes stop-offs at the Harry Truman Park & Ride and the Davidsonville Park & Ride.

The route takes nearly an hour to complete and makes 10 round-trips each day. However, the service could expand in the future, depending on ridership demands.

The New Carrollton Station makes up part of the eastern terminus for the Metro's Orange and Silver lines, and shares the station with Amtrak.

The Baltimore Sun reported the shuttle has a capacity to fit 16 passengers and includes space for two wheelchairs.
