Accused Heroin Dealer Caught Sleeping in Car: Police

A man sleeping in a running car at a Glen Burnie stoplight was charged with selling heroin by Anne Arundel County Police.

GLEN BURNIE, MD — A Baltimore man found asleep behind the wheel at a Glen Burnie stoplight has been charged with selling heroin, authorities say. Anne Arundel County Police were called to check on the driver about 11 p.m. Wednesday at the intersection of Baltimore Annapolis Boulevard and Marley Neck Road in Glen Burnie; a caller had said the driver might be unconscious.

When officers arrived they found the vehicle was running but stationary at the stoplight with the driver asleep. The officers woke the driver — Tramond Mobray, 41, of Baltimore — and checked him for any medical issues.

While speaking with Mobray, police saw a clear plastic bag reportedly containing 24 baggies of heroin valued at $1,500 and six Xanax bars. During a search of the vehicle officers found items, including a digital scale and sandwich baggies, that indicated the distribution of drugs. Authorities say the search also turned up $778 in cash.
