ANNAPOLIS, MD — The grand opening dates are set for the launch of the new DICK's House of Sport in Annapolis next month.
Starting Aug. 14, residents will be able to participate in three days of festivities that officially kick off at the new 1880 Annapolis Mall location.
From a mystery gift card to giveaways and in-store discounts, grand opening specials will also include appearances from Hall of Famer and former Baltimore Ravens safety Ed Reed and current Ravens running back Derrick Henry.
Reed's appearance is scheduled for the ribbon-cutting ceremony at 9 a.m. on Aug. 14. Henry takes the spotlight Aug. 16 from 12 p.m. to 1:30 p.m.
Wristbands are required for anyone interested in participating in the meet-and-greets, according to organizers. They will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis when the store opens for the day.
However, there are stipulations that sports fans should keep in mind before stopping in for the event.
The opening marks the latest addition to the company's growing House of Sport expansion. The brand previously opened a new branch in Montgomery County in June.
The House of Sport location will be open to customers Monday through Saturday from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. and from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Sunday.
