MD 2 resurfacing project brings nighttime lane closures to Annapolis through mid-November (wmar2news.com) — Overnight lane closures are coming to a busy stretch of MD 2 in Annapolis starting Tuesday night, affecting Solomons Island Road between Grand Oak Drive and West Street and the MD 665 ramps. Work will run Sunday through Thursday nights, 8 p.m. to 5 a.m., through mid-November, so plan extra travel time and consider alternate routes during those hours.
2. Annapolis Holiday Market Moves to Mall for Two Weekends in December (eyeonannapolis.net) — Annapolis residents can look forward to the fifth annual Annapolis Holiday Market moving to an outdoor setup at Annapolis Mall this December, with free admission and easier access from major local routes. Over two weekends, you'll find about 150 artisans, extensive food and drink options, and nearby holiday activities that make it easy to turn a market visit into a full day out in town.
3. Live Arts Maryland Opens Season With 'A Concert for Peace' at Maryland Hall (eyeonannapolis.net) — Live Arts Maryland is opening its 2026–27 season in Annapolis with "A Concert for Peace" at Maryland Hall on Saturday, October 10, featuring the Annapolis Chorale and Annapolis Chamber Orchestra. The program centers on Karl Jenkins' The Armed Man with film, plus additional works exploring loss, compassion, and hope, giving local audiences a reflective evening of music focused on peace.
4. Maryland expanding 24/7 emissions testing kiosks at 7 locations across the state (wmar2news.com) — Maryland is expanding its 24/7 self-service vehicle emissions kiosks, and Annapolis is among the locations slated to get a new one in the coming months. These kiosks let you complete required emissions tests any time of day for slightly less than full-service stations, offering Annapolis drivers a more flexible and cheaper option once the exact site is announced.
