Anne Arundel Health System Introduces the Martin L. Doordan Health Sciences Institute

The Anne Arundel Health System (AAHS) board of trustees announced on Jan. 5 the renaming of the Health Sciences Institute located in the Health Sciences Pavilion on Medical Parkway in Annapolis to the Martin L. Doordan Health Sciences Institute in honor of the CEO, Martin L. "Chip" Doordan. The new sign and plaque dedicating the honor were revealed at the Anne Arundel Medical Center Foundation's annual holiday party in December 2010.
"Chip has been the guiding force that has led our organization to be one of the top healthcare destinations in the region," said George Moran, chairman of the board in a release. "This institute reflects his leadership and vision and we felt that it was very fitting to name this in his honor."
The plaque at the entrance reads:

The present expansion will double the size of the medical campus when completed in April 2011.
