Book Lovers Unite! A Festival Is Coming
The Annapolis Book Festival will mark its 23rd year running. Here's what you need to know.
ANNAPOLIS, MD — The Annapolis Book Festival is coming to residents on May 2, bringing a variety of books, live music and entertainment.
As thousands of books go up for sale, the festival will also feature raffle items, tea parties, and a mix of children's activities.
Authors will also be on hand to discuss their writing. Organizers say signings will take place after authors participate in their respective panels.

The 2026 lineup includes 51 writers, ranging from former U.S. Ambassador to Russia Michael McFaul and award-winning sports columnist Christine Brennan to "Akeem Keeps Bees" author Kamal Bell.
The event will be held from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at 534 Hillsmere Drive. Admission and parking are free, and no preregistration is required.

Parking will be available both on the campus of the Key School and at a remote area "a few blocks away at a playing field," according to the festival's website. Shuttle services will be running all day once the event kicks off.
