Annapolis Business Robbed By Man With Knife, Police Arrest Suspect: Officers
An Annapolis business was robbed by a man with a knife, police said. Authorities arrested the 53-year-old suspect after a chase.

ANNAPOLIS, MD — Police announced that an armed man robbed an Annapolis business on Jan. 10. Authorities said they arrested the suspect, identified as 53-year-old Cecilio Benitez.
Officers said they were conducting business checks in the 1600 block of Forest Drive around 12:45 a.m. when they saw a man run out of an establishment with a large knife in his hand. An employee immediately told police that the fleeing man had just robbed their store.
Two officers chased the suspect and safely took him into custody. The Annapolis Police Department said it charged Benitez with robbery and other related crimes.

Investigators did not identify the business that was robbed.
