Annapolis Officials Want Your Opinion On City's 'Visual Brand'

The City of Annapolis is weighing its options for a visual branding makeover, and it wants to hear from residents.

ANNAPOLIS, MD — Officials with the City of Annapolis want to hear from residents as they look to "evaluate the city's overall visual brand."

A roughly five-minute survey issued to the public includes questions ranging from one's familiarity with the city logo to how supportive they are of the city's rebranding consideration.

"We've heard from some residents that the City's current mark, which dates to the early 2000s, does not fully capture Annapolis' complex history," reads the survey.

"Additionally, our current logo was created before websites, social media, and digital communications became central to how cities connect with the people they serve. Today, it's difficult to reproduce consistently across screens and platforms, and it doesn't fully reflect the breadth and character of what Annapolis is today."

"This project is about making it easier for everyone to recognize trusted City information and to better understand all the ways Annapolis supports its community," it adds.
