Easter Eggs Hunts Offer Fun For Anne Arundel County Kids, Adults

ANNAPOLIS, MD — Two Easter egg hunts will bring fun to Annapolis this weekend. One of those gatherings will be perfect for the whole family. The other is just for the adults.

Family Easter Egg Hunt

Bay Ridge Christian Church will host the first egg hunt. The free Saturday event runs from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at 1071 Bay Ridge Road. Activities at the annual family festival will include:

  • Easter egg hunts by age
  • Shark tooth dig
  • Face painting
  • Pony rides
  • Bouncy houses
  • Carnival games with prizes
  • Live animal exhibit
  • Magic show
  • Balloons
  • Hotdogs and popcorn
  • Antique bible exhibit
  • Family pictures

Adult Easter Egg Hunt

The Annapolis Recreation and Parks Department organized the Easter egg hunt for adults. This Saturday festivity kicks off at 8 p.m. outside the Pip Moyer Recreation Center. The event will last until 10 p.m. The rain date is Sunday at the same place and time.

There will be 1,000 eggs. Some golden eggs will contain prizes worth $50 or more.

A $200 egg will have a gift card to Osteria 177, a downtown Annapolis restaurant. Victory Awards & Promotions, a Severna Park custom apparel company, donated a basket worth $250.

Attendees can enjoy some dessert at the Sweet Satisfaction ice cream truck after their hunt.

Tickets cost $15 in advance or $20 at the gate. Anybody buying tickets the day of must arrive by 7 p.m. and pay in cash.

Residents can register on this website if they already have an account with the Annapolis Recreation and Parks Department. The registration code is #2122.

Participants can also sign up at the Pip Moyer Recreation Center's front desk by Saturday at 6 p.m.

Planners asked attendees, who must be 18 or older, to bring a basket and a flashlight.

Proceeds will benefit the Annapolis Recreation and Parks Scholarship Fund.
