Annapolis Eateries Team Up With Former NFL Player To Support ALS

ANNAPOLIS, MD – The Brigance Brigade Foundation has partnered with the Iron Rooster and Newk’s Eatery in Annapolis for the ALS Bites! campaign and are offering fun themed food items to show their support. Both restaurants have committed to donate to the foundation when customers order the designated menu items. There are participating restaurants in Baltimore, too.

This is the fourth year that the Brigance Brigade Foundation has teamed up with local restaurants for ALS Bites! The foundation was created by former Baltimore Raven O.J. Brigance and his wife, Chanda. ALS Awareness Month is in May.

“ALS is a cruel disease, but with the funds raised by our partner restaurants we are able to equip, encourage and empower people living with ALS by providing the equipment, technology and resources they need to thrive,” said Stephanie Chall, executive director of the Brigance Brigade Foundation, in a press release. “We are so grateful to all of the new and returning restaurants helping us bite back against ALS this May; I invite everyone to grab your friends and family and enjoy a great meal for a great cause.”

Iron Rooster will donate to the foundation when customers order off their Blue Plate Menu, which includes their Breakfast Quesadilla, Southern Cali Wrap and ALS RoosTarts. Newk’s Eatery will donate a portion of proceeds from their Q Sandwich.
