Annapolis Man Charged With Having, Distributing Child Porn
An Annapolis man is accused of distributing and possessing child pornography; police ask tipsters to call with information.

ANNAPOLIS, MD — A tip to a statewide police effort to combat sexual exploitation of children online led to the arrest of an Annapolis man for distributing and possessing child pornography. The Anne Arundel County Police Child and Vulnerable Adult Abuse Unit received a tip Oct. 15 from the Internet Crimes Against Children’s task force that apparent images of child pornography had been uploaded to an account.
Child abuse detectives secured subpoenas and search warrants in order to identify the account, address and the suspect uploading the child pornography. On Jan. 24, police executed a search warrant at the home of Richard David Hurwitz, 34, in the 1800 block of Green Top Court in Annapolis. During a search of the residence multiple electronic devices were seized for analysis.
Hurwitz was taken into custody and charged with two counts of distributing child pornography and two counts of possessing child pornography. He is being held without bond at the Jennifer Road Detention Center.
