Annapolis Man Hit With Murder, Assault Charges Over Car Stabbing: Police
Anne Arundel County Police said the arrest was made three days after a man was stabbed while sitting inside a car in Annapolis.
ANNAPOLIS, MD — An Annapolis man is facing several charges for a stabbing that left another man hospitalized over the weekend.
Anne Arundel County Police said Wednesday that Carlos Daniel Mancia Pleitez, 26, was identified as a suspect two days after the Saturday stabbing in Annapolis.
By Tuesday around 3 p.m., Pleitez was arrested by authorities in the area of Forest Drive and Solomons Island Road, police said.

He is facing the following four charges:
- Second-degree attempted murder
- First- and second-degree assault
- Carrying a dangerous weapon with intent to injure
Police have not identified the man who was stabbed, but did say he remains in stable condition.

Officials have also not said what prompted the altercation, which took place shortly after 9 p.m. Saturday on the 900 block of Epping Forest Road.
Pleitez is scheduled to appear for a bail hearing Wednesday.
An investigation into the case remains ongoing.
