Annapolis Officially Opens Registration For Fall Tree Giveaway

The registration for Annapolis' Front Yard and Street Tree Program has opened for the season. Here's what you need to know.

ANNAPOLIS, MD — If you're in the market for a new street tree, you're in luck, so long as you meet a few requirements set by the City of Annapolis.

In partnership with the Arbor Day Foundation, the City of Annapolis will be providing residents with a free tree to not only combat climate change but also reduce stormwater runoff and provide shade during hot days, among other benefits.

"Beautify your block. Cool your street. It starts with a tree," reads an announcement by the city.
