Annapolis Police Plan Cinco de Mayo DUI Checkpoint

If your Cinco de Mayo plans include a few drinks, line up a designated driver.

The Annapolis Police Department will conduct a DUI checkpoint on Tuesday, May 5, on West Street near Amos Garrett Boulevard. Police say the checkpoint will run from 6:30 to and 10:30 p.m.

Additional officers will be patrolling to look for impaired drivers throughout the city, the department says.

The penalties for a DUI or DWI in Maryland consist of potential jail time, fines, and a minimum of a 6-month license suspension.
