Annapolis Police Thanksgiving Food Drive Ends Nov. 17

The Annapolis Police Department is holding a food drive for local families and food pantries through Nov. 17.

From Annapolis PD: The Annapolis Police Department is accepting donations of food for a Thanksgiving Food Drive through Friday, Nov. 17. The department plans to provide Thanksgiving meals to local families and donate the remaining food to local schools’ food pantries.

Organizers are asking for 5-pound bags of potatoes, 2-pound bags of onions, jars of gravy, cans of cranberry sauce, cans of sweet potato, bags or boxes of stuffing, cans of cream of mushroom soup and french fried onions.

Other items needed are boxed pastas and pasta sauce, peanut butter and jelly, cereal, soups and other canned meals, boxed macaroni and cheese, healthy snacks like breakfast bars and dried fruit, and baby food. Please check expiration dates, expired food will not be accepted.

You can drop of donations any time at the Annapolis Police Department at 199 Taylor Avenue.
