Millersville Man Arrested After Annapolis Shooting, Charged With Attempted Murder: Police
An Annapolis shooting prompted the arrest of a Millersville man, police said. He faces charges of attempted murder and assault.

ANNAPOLIS, MD — Officers arrested a Millserville man and charged him with attempted murder, the Annapolis Police Department announced Wednesday.
Authorities identified the arrestee as David Antonio Mayen, 23. Officers accused Mayen of shooting and hospitalizing a man earlier this month in the state capital.

The shooting happened on June 2 around 12:14 p.m. in the 1900 block of Fairfax Road. Police said they found a man suffering from a gunshot wound to his upper torso.
Medics treated the victim on the scene and airlifted him to an unnamed trauma center, a press release said. He was in stable condition at that time.

Officials issued a warrant for Mayen's arrest on the day of the crime. Authorities served that warrant on Wednesday, the court documents said.
