Annapolis Shooting Victim Flown To Shock Trauma

A man was found with a gunshot wound on Tyler Avenue Thursday night; Annapolis Police have not identified the victim yet.

ANNAPOLIS, MD — Authorities have not yet released the condition or name of a man who was shot Thursday night. Annapolis Police were called to the 1300 block of Tyler Avenue for a shooting about 10:16 p.m., and found a man suffering from a gunshot wound.

The victim was flown to University of Maryland Shock Trauma for treatment; the extent of his injuries is unknown. Officers located a crime scene in the 1300 block of Forest Drive.

Police are releasing no further information at this time.

The Capital-Gazette reports the victim was found at the intersection that leads into the Robinwood public housing complex. Two shootings that led to homicides occurred in that area in 2016, a year with a record 10 homicides.
