Annapolis St. Patrick's Day Parade 2018: Route, Lineup, Crowds

The Annapolis St. Patrick's Day Parade — the city's biggest parade — will be held Sunday, March 11. Here's the route and lineup.

ANNAPOLIS, MD — The city's biggest parade, the sixth annual Annapolis St. Patrick's Day Parade, will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday, March 11. The parade is sponsored by Naptown Events. This year, Warrior Events will be the official beneficiary of the parade, which always benefits local charities. The parade includes more than 100 units and is expected to draw 5,000 to 7,000 people to Annapolis.

“Groups from as far away as Norway, up and down the East Coast, Tennessee and across the country are coming to our parade here in Annapolis because it’s become such a huge hit,” said Mayor Gavin Buckley in a news release. “Hotels are sold out, hundreds of firefighters and first responders are coming to town to participate, and our City of Annapolis departments are prepared and ready for the crowds and to ensure everyone has a safe and enjoyable time.”

The parade will line up at Amos Garrett Boulevard or a designated side street, turn right onto West Street and travel clockwise around Church Circle to Main Street, down Main Street toward Randall/Compromise Circle, head clockwise (the wrong way) around Randall/Compromise Circle and exit via Randall Street.
