Annapolis Teens Carrying Loaded Handguns Charged: Police
Two 16-year-olds from Annapolis have been charged as adults with weapons violations for reportedly carrying loaded guns.

ANNAPOLIS, MD — Two Annapolis teenagers were charged as adults with weapons violations after police found them carrying loaded weapons, including one stolen in a spring burglary.
A report of a man armed with a handgun drew Annapolis Police officers to the unit block of Clay Street Saturday night, and several males fled on foot. One of the males who fled kept his right hand in his right-side pants pocket while running away; he was later identified as Najee Stewart, 16, of Annapolis. Officers ran after Stewart believing him to be carrying a handgun. Stewart dropped a loaded handgun while running and then stopped running and was arrested by officers.
Another officer saw a second suspect — Jaylin King, 16, of Annapolis — running with his right hand in the front pocket of his hooded sweatshirt. The officer believed King might also be carrying a handgun. King fled from the officer, stumbled and fell, who then removed a loaded handgun from his sweatshirt pocket, dropped it on the ground, and was arrested.
