ANNAPOLIS, MD — The Annapolis Town Center will open its first-ever outdoor ice-skating rink on Friday. It will be open through Feb. 22.

“We are thrilled to bring our family-friendly ice-skating vision to life at Annapolis Town Center,” Marketing Director Catherine Brady said in a Wednesday press release. “Our hope is to make this a staple attraction in our community that becomes part of family's winter traditions for years to come.”

The rink will be 50 feet by 80 feet. There will be skate rentals, free on-site parking, festive music and lighting.

The rink, located at 305 Sail Place, does not take reservations. Tickets are sold on a first-come, first-served basis. Entrance costs $11 for non-residents, $7 for town center residents and $7 for groups of eight or more.

Skate rentals are $4 per person. Guests can bring their own skates.

The rink's hours are:

  • Monday through Friday: Noon to 8 p.m.
  • Saturday and Sunday: 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.

“This project took months of hard work and planning from all parties involved to bring the vision of an outdoor ice-skating rink to fruition,” town center General Manager Christi Swanson said in the release. “It was worth every moment, and we are super excited to have this winter attraction here in for our community to enjoy. These are the types of upgrades and experiences we are committed to providing our community!”

The rink is part of a town center renovation that wrapped up in October 2022.

The Boathouse Pavillion is another highlight from the remodel. This new covered stage features a canoe hanging from the ceiling. The bandstand opens to a turf field where concertgoers can dance to music.

  • Williams Sonoma (home goods shop)
  • Life Time (luxury gym)
