Anne Arundel County Council Cancels April 6 Meeting: Coronavirus
The Anne Arundel County Council stated it will continue to push legislation forward despite the new coronavirus pandemic.
ANNAPOLIS, MD — The April 6 meeting of the County Council has been canceled. All pending legislation will be rescheduled to a date yet to be determined. Council Chair Allison Pickard noted that legislation will continue to move forward.
"The Council’s concerns regarding the impact of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic on the health and safety of our residents and employees remain heightened. We ask for continued patience and cooperation as the Council works to prioritize and protect the health and safety of the public. All Council members are working hard to uphold their duties and serve their constituents during these trying times," said Pickard in a statement.
