Don’t Call A Cop To Report These Crimes: Anne Arundel Police
In an effort to enforce social distancing, Anne Arundel County police officers will not take personal reports of certain crimes.

ANNE ARUNDEL COUNTY — In an effort to enforce social distancing, the Anne Arundel County Police Department now requires residents to file certain police reports online. However, if a crime is actively in progress, residents are encouraged to call 911 or 410-222-8610.
If a resident calls to file a police report, he or she may be told that an officer will call back to take down the information for a police report.
The following incidents are now required to be filed online:

- Destruction to a vehicle
- Destruction of property/vandalism
- Theft from a vehicle
- Thefts of vehicle parts and accessories
- Tampering with a vehicle
- Attempted vehicle theft
- Credit or debit card theft
- Identify theft
- Lost property
- Telephone misuse
- Trespassing
The police department noted that online crime reporting is not an immediate response system. Reports submitted through this portal will be reviewed on the day submitted or the next business day.
