AACPS Makes Weather Decision As Storm Lingers Over MD
A sloppy winter storm prompted a weather decision from Anne Arundel County Public Schools. Here's how the storm will affect students.

ANNE ARUNDEL COUNTY, MD — Anne Arundel County Public Schools will open two hours late on Thursday. AACPS announced the decision at 5 a.m.
Morning half-day ECI classes are canceled. There will not be any morning sessions at the Centers of Applied Technology North or South.
"Because of schedule alterations, there may be fewer police officers on duty at intersections this morning," AACPS said on Facebook. "Families should exercise additional caution with students walking to school."

"Plan on slippery road conditions," the National Weather Service said in its advisory. "The hazardous conditions will impact the Thursday morning commute."
Warmer air should arrive later Thursday morning and afternoon, changing the precipitation to rain.
"Slow down and use caution while traveling," the National Weather Service said. "When venturing outside, watch your first few steps taken on steps, sidewalks, and driveways, which could be icy and slippery, increasing your risk of a fall and injury."
