Anne Arundel County Schools Make March 15 Weather Decision
Anne Arundel County Public Schools make schedule changes for March 15.

ANNAPOLIS, MD — Anne Arundel County Public Schools will have a two-hour delay for the start of classes on Wednesday, March 15, to give roads and travel conditions the most time to improve as the winter storm moves out of the region. All school buildings were closed Tuesday as snow and sleet covered the area. (Get Patch’s daily newsletter and real-time news alerts, or like us on Facebook.)
According to a news release from the school system, all Anne Arundel County Public Schools will open two hours late on Wednesday. Instead of dismissing two hours early as previously scheduled, all schools will dismiss at their normal times, officials said.
There will be no half-day prekindergarten or ECI classes, and no extended day magnet programs on Wednesday. The Centers for Applied Technology North and South will not have morning sessions, but will have afternoon sessions for students. Evening high school classes will take place on normal schedules, and systemwide professional development scheduled for Wednesday afternoon is canceled to accommodate the altered school schedule.
