Anne Arundel Schools Make Decision on Tuesday Opening

At this time, Anne Arundel County Public Schools parents and employees should prepare for all schools and offices to open on time Tuesday, March 18, according to the district.

Due to the potential for icy conditions in some parts of the county, parents and employees should allow extra time for travel to schools, bus stops, and work locations.

County residents are encouraged to assist students who walk to school by clearing the sidewalks and walkways in front of their homes. 

Should the status of school operations change, another message will be communicated tomorrow morning through normal avenues.

A decision is usually made by 5 a.m. if school schedules will be changed. The first alert is posted on the district’s website and at AACPS on Facebook.
