Anne Arundel Schools Make Weather Decision For Friday, Oct. 29
Officials with Anne Arundel County Public Schools made a change in plans Friday due to the potential for severe weather.
ANNAPOLIS, MD — Public schools in Anne Arundel County are closed Friday, Oct. 29. Citing severe weather conditions and possible adverse road conditions expected later in the day, Anne Arundel County Public Schools made the decision Friday morning.
All Anne Arundel County Public Schools and offices are closed Friday. A Code Red is in effect for employees. Unit III personnel should report to their work locations as required, school officials said.
"For those wondering about this morning's decision to close schools, it came down to serious concerns about the ability to buses to transport students home from schools, of families to pick up students, and of the ability of employees to travel from work locations to their homes at the end of the work day," the district said on social media.
