Anne Arundel, PG County Flood Warning Extended To Monday
BREAKING NEWS: Anne Arundel County and the Bowie area are under a flood warning that has been extended to Monday morning.

ANNE ARUNDEL COUNTY, MD — Lines of thunderstorms that have brought flooding to parts of Baltimore County and devastated Ellicott City, which received about 6 inches of rain Sunday, could also bring flooding to Anne Arundel County. The National Weather Service has extended a flood warning for the county until Monday, May 28.
The warning for west central Anne Arundel County and northeastern Prince George's County says that at 9:19 p.m. Sunday, stream gauges indicate flooding is occurring on the Little Patuxent River in Howard County. This flood wave will be moving downstream into Anne Arundel County near Crofton overnight, the weather service says. Those areas are under a warning until 9:15 a.m. Monday
Additionally, the water will cause rises in the Patuxent River east of Bowie. Other streams in the area may also be experiencing flooding.

Some locations that may see flooding include Bowie, Crofton, Odenton and Prince George's Stadium.

Another flood warning has been issued until 4:30 a.m. Monday for northwestern Anne Arundel County and southeastern Howard County. At 10:11 p.m., stream gauges indicate flooding is occurring on the Patapsco and Little Patuxent Rivers, along with backwater flooding on tributary streams. The Patapsco will fall below flood stage around midnight. The Little Patxuent will likely remain in flood much of the night downstream of Columbia.

Some locations that may experience flooding include Columbia, Severn, Elkridge, Glen Burnie, Ellicott City, Odenton, Ferndale, Brooklyn Park, Fort Meade, Savage-guilford, Pumphrey, Scaggsville, Ilchester, Linthicum, Lansdowne, Jessup, Savage, Hanover, Georgetown and Linthicum Heights.
Drivers are urged to turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding.
A flood warning means that flooding is imminent or occurring; you should take necessary precautions immediately.
Earlier Flood Warning
Also, the National Weather Service has issued a flood warning for northern Anne Arundel County until 10:30 p.m. Sunday. At 4:23 p.m. radar indicated heavy rain that will cause flooding. Up to one inch of rain has already fallen and additional heavy rain is expected Sunday evening.
Some locations that may experience flooding include Baltimore, Columbia, Severn, Elkridge, Riviera Beach, Baltimore-Washington Airport, Fort Smallwood State Park, Pinehurst, Gibson Island, Bodkin Point, Sillery Bay, Glen Burnie, Ellicott City, Severna Park, Odenton, Pasadena, Arnold, Lake Shore, Ferndale and Brooklyn Park.
