A woman's ex-husband gave her a scratch-off. The Anne Arundel County resident won $30,000 on that Maryland Lottery ticket.

ANNE ARUNDEL COUNTY, MD — An Anne Arundel County woman recently won the $30,000 top prize on a scratch-off that her ex-husband gave her. He gifted the ticket as a thank you for helping with a family issue.
This was the first time that the winner, Sandra Howard, had ever played a scratcher.
"I can’t believe it," Howard said Wednesday in a press release announcing her win. "I guess I will buy my ex a beer!"
