The body of a missing Annapolis construction worker was found Tuesday near the Severn River bridge, authorities say.

ARNOLD, MD — The body of an Annapolis man missing since April 4 was found Tuesday near the Severn River bridge, according to Maryland Natural Resources Police. Jose Loza Ramirez, 21, was not wearing a life jacket when he fell into the water from a kayak, according to authorities.
Ramirez's body was recovered at 9:15 a.m. Tuesday from the Severn River, just upstream from the Severn River Bridge. It was taken to the medical examiner's office in Baltimore for an autopsy to determine the cause of death.
Ramirez and another unidentified man, a fellow construction worker, went out on the water near Chase Creek to secure a company dinghy that had broken loose in heavy winds, the Capital Gazette reported.
