A Glen Burnie boy bitten on his face and arms received birthday presents from Anne Arundel County Police and Animal Control officers.

A Glen Burnie fifth-grader mauled earlier this week by two Rottweiler-mix dogs celebrated his 11th birthday in the hospital with presents from Anne Arundel County authorities.

Hilda Sotelo wrote on the police page: “I want to thank the AACPD and AACAC for all the support and encouragement they have for Matthew! We will treasure all you have done for him. You have given him a reason to get better quickly, to go home and try out his new bike and scooter and the many gifts you brought him! Thank you so much!”

The boy suffered serious bites to his face and his arms, and is being treated at Johns Hopkins Hospital. Both animals were signed over to Anne Arundel County Animal Control, where they were euthanized, reports WJZ TV.
