Car Slams Into Annapolis Business, Structure Unsafe
Annapolis Fire officials say a building inspector has deemed a West Street business uninhabitable after a car crashed into it.
ANNAPOLIS, MD — No injuries were reported when a car crashed into the Valvoline oil change building on West Street Thursday afternoon, but Annapolis Fire Department officials say the structure is unsafe and is closed. The accident happened just before 4 p.m. at 1922 West St. when a Kia Soul hit the side of the business.
Annapolis and Anne Arundel Fire Department units were dispatched to the scene. The driver of the vehicle had gotten out of the car before firefighters arrived, and he was not injured. A city of Annapolis building inspector was dispatched to evaluate the condition of the building and determined it is uninhabitable
The cause of the accident is being investigated by Annapolis Police, who have not released the driver's name.
