Mayor Buckley: “Annapolis Honors the Life of the Longest Serving Senate President in History: Thomas V. ‘Mike’ Miller”

“The announcement Friday afternoon of the death Friday of Thomas V. ‘Mike’ Miller marks a sad day in Maryland history. On behalf of the residents of the City of Annapolis, we honor his life and send our sincerest condolences to his family and those who worked with him in the Maryland legislature.

“President Miller may have served three decades in the Maryland Senate, longer than any Senate president in American history, but his legacy is not defined solely by his longevity. During his tenure as an elected official, his time was spent in service to the people of his district and of our state. I know that President Miller was a friend to Annapolis.

“Julie and I extend our deepest sympathies to his wife, children and grandchildren. He will be greatly missed.”
