County Schools Finance Office Named One of Best for 33rd Straight Year

For the 33rd consecutive year, Anne Arundel County Public Schools’ Finance Office has been lauded as one of the nation’s best by earning the prestigious Certificate of Excellence in Financial Reporting from the Association of School Business Officials International.

The award is given to organizations that are committed to financial accountability and transparency. It recognizes clear and complete final reporting, and a commitment to fiscal integrity.

“The staff in our Finance Office works extremely hard every day to help our school system be as efficient as possible with the public resources entrusted to us,” said AACPS Chief Operating Officer Alex L. Szachnowicz. “Their work is done behind the scenes and without fanfare, but it is critical to our overall mission and they should be congratulated for this outstanding accomplishment.”
