Dead Man Found Along Side of Road: Police

Anne Arundel County Police say the 69-year-old victim appears to have died from a medical condition rather than being hit by a vehicle.

LINTHICUM, MD — A man who died along the side of a road appears to have died of a medical ailment rather than being struck by a car as had been speculated on social media, authorities say.

Anne Arundel County Police say the man was found just after 7 p.m. Tuesday in the 300 block of Hammonds Ferry Road North in Linthicum. Officers found a 69-year-old man dead on the sidewalk in spite of lifesaving procedures.

The Homicide and Traffic Safety Investigative Units are investigating the accident. Neither team has so far found any evidence of a criminal act or a traffic/motor vehicle-related incident, authorities said Thursday.
