Don't Miss 'Wicked' at the Kennedy Center

The first return of "Wicked" to a Washington stage since 2005, this musical will wow you.

  • Where/When: The Kennedy Center Opera House. Performances will be held on Friday and Sunday at 7:30 p.m., Saturday and Sunday at 1:30 p.m.
  • Why:  This best-selling musical is based on a darker version of The Wizard of Oz expanding on the characters and their true beginnings. 
  • Price:  $37 to $250 depending on seating selection.

Haunted Ghost Tours of Annapolis

  • Where/When: Tours depart from Information Booth, 1 Dock St. Friday and Saturday, 7:30 to 9 p.m.
  • Why: As the sun sets over the city, set off on your journey to learn about the poor souls who suffered hangings to save room in local jails more than a century ago. Pay attention to the tales of the Gravedigger and more.
  • Price: $16/Adults, $10/Children 3-11, Children 2 & Under Free.

  • Why: The Rotary Club of Parole's Books for International Goodwill (BIG) project will host their next book sale with more than 40,000 good used books available for sale at their new warehouse. The BIG Project has sent more than 4 million books to developing countries, and profits from the sale are applied toward future shipping costs.
  • Price: Free admission.

  • Where/When: . Saturday, 7 p.m.
  • Why: Catch some exciting lacrosse action with the local team, the Bayhawks! Major League Lacrosse provides a great opportunity to enjoy the unofficial state sport in your own backyard here in Annapolis.
