Driver Collapses, Crashes County School Bus

The driver of a bus that crashed in Pasadena likely suffered a heart attack, officials said.

PASADENA, MD — A woman suffered a medical problem Wednesday and crashed the Anne Arundel County school bus she was driving, reports ay.

Capt. Russ Davies of the Anne Arundel County Fire Department said the bus went off Geneva Road in Pasadena and hit a fence. Two students on the bus were not hurt, WTOP reports.

Emergency responders determined the driver was in cardiac arrest, reports Arundel News Network.

Medics performed CPR on the driver and took her to Baltimore Washington Medical Center in critical condition.

One of the students called 911 to report the driver’s collapse and crash.

The bus was en route to Northeast High School, schools spokesman Bob Mosier told the Capital-Gazette.
