Driver Shot on Baltimore Washington Parkway: State Police

Maryland State Police are searching for a man who shot another driver on the Baltimore Washington Parkway near Glen Burnie.

GLEN BURNIE, MD — Maryland State Police are searching for man who shot and wounded another driver as the vehicles were headed north on the Baltimore Washington Parkway near Glen Burnie.

A man driving a silver Dodge Charger reportedly fired shots at another vehicle while traveling on Route 295 in Anne Arundel County early Sunday morning.

The victim is a 21-year-old man who was shot in the leg while driving a 1996 white Toyota Forerunner. He was taken to the R. Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center for treatment.

The victim’s girlfriend who was also in the SUV wasn't injured.

The suspect is described as an African American man, who is believed to be driving a silver Dodge Charger. No further description is known at this time.

The shooting was reported shortly before 5 a.m. Sunday on Route 295 northbound at Route 195 in Glen Burnie. Emergency service providers were on the scene treating the victim.

Police say multiple shots were fired at the driver’s side door while both vehicles were traveling north on the Baltimore Washington Parkway this morning. An immediate lookout for the suspect vehicle was sent to all law enforcement agencies in the area.
