DUI Crash Claims Life Of Passenger In Anne Arundel County: Police
A passenger died after a DUI crash on Solomons Island Road, Anne Arundel County police said. Officers arrested the accused Annapolis driver.

ANNAPOLIS, MD — A passenger died after a DUI crash in Annapolis, county police announced Monday. Officers said they arrested the accused driver.
Authorities identified the victim as Russell Henry Dandridge, 58, and the suspect as Lamar Rondell Williams, 53. Both men are from Annapolis.
Police said they heard about the single-vehicle crash Sunday around 7:15 p.m.

Officers said a 2001 Volvo S80 was heading south on Solomons Island Road, also known as Maryland Route 2, and was approaching eastbound Aris T Allen Boulevard, also known as Maryland Route 665.
Authorities said the sedan then left the right side of the roadway for unknown reasons and hit a utility pole.

Medics took the front-seat passenger to an unidentified hospital with life-threatening injuries, police said.
Officers said the passenger died soon after.
Authorities said they conducted roadside observations and determined the driver was under the influence of alcohol.
The Anne Arundel County Police Department did not mention if the driver was hurt.
Williams faces one count of negligent manslaughter with an automobile and is being held without bond, court records show.
