Pianist Ganz will be joined by four talented string musicians performing the works of Schumann (Quartet in E-Flat major for Piano and Strings, Op 47) and Tchaikovsky (Trio in A minor for Piano, Violin and Cello, Op. 50). The featured artists are Emmanuel Borowsky, violin; Cecylia Barczyk, cello; Sharon Eng, viola; Blanka Bednarz, violin; and Brian Ganz, piano.
The featured string artists are on the faculty of the International Music Institute and Festival, held every summer at Mt. St. Mary's University. The Festival attracts young musicians from the USA and around the world.

This “Brian Ganz and Friends” program is part of a year-long ticketed concert series offered monthly on 4th Fridays at 8pm at the Unitarian Universalist Church of Annapolis. Future concerts are August 22 - Ganz offers an in-depth exploration of the composer's craft with his first Piano Talk of the series featuring Frederic Chopin. On September 26 the program will feature 20th century classical masterpieces for flute and piano with Karen Johnson and Brian Ganz.
Brian Ganz, widely regarded as one of the leading pianists of his generation, began his “Extreme Chopin” quest to perform all of Frédéric Chopin’s works at the Strathmore Mansion.

Blanka Bednarz, violin, is an alumna of the J. Kaliszewska Talent School in Poznan, Poland and the New England Conservatory. She has performed internationally in a variety of venues.
American violist Sharon Eng is a seasoned international strings educator, chamber recitalist and conductor and a graduate of Julliard. Her rich musical career has spanned five continents.
Emmanuel Borowsky, violin, has been lauded as an outstanding musician of his generation, performing concerts internationally from a young age. His performances and awards are extensive.
