Fatal Pedestrian Crash Victim Identified As 54-Year-Old Annapolis Woman
The victim of a fatal pedestrian crash was identified after she was hit by a car in Anne Arundel County. The Annapolis woman was 54.

ANNAPOLIS, MD — Police released the name of the pedestrian who died after she was hit by a car recently in Annapolis.
Officers on Wednesday identified the victim as Mary Johannes Summers. The Annapolis woman was 54 years old.
The crash happened Sunday around 11 p.m. on Riva Road at Broad Creek Drive, police said.

Officers said the pedestrian crossed the southbound lanes of Riva Road against the traffic signal.
Authorities said the victim was wearing dark, non-reflective clothing and walking from west to east when a 2016 Ford Focus sedan hit her.

The Anne Arundel County Fire Department took the pedestrian to the Luminis Health Anne Arundel Medical Center with life-threatening injuries, police said.
Officers said the victim was pronounced dead soon after arriving at the Annapolis hospital.
The driver stayed on the scene and was not hurt, authorities said.
The Anne Arundel County Police Department is still investigating.
