Fatal Wreck Near Annapolis Sunday

The driver in a single-vehicle wreck died Sunday afternoon just outside of Annapolis, according to Anne Arundel County Police.

Fire and rescue units responded at 3:45 p.m. Sunday to the ramp from Route 50 West to Interstate 97 North.

The first unites reported that a pickup truck had left the round and struck a tree. The vehicle was completely involved in fire, according to an AACPD release.

The driver and lone occupant of the truck was declared dead at the scene.
