Severn Man's Body Found Near Annapolis Yacht Club

The body of a Severn man reported missing on Monday was pulled from the water near the Annapolis Yacht Club Thursday night, police say.

On May 28, 2015 Annapolis Police officers received a report of a body floating in the water near 2 Compromise St. just after 10:30 p.m. Thursday. Police, with assistance from the Maryland Department of Natural Resources and the Annapolis Fire Department, recovered the body from the water.

The body was taken to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner for further investigation.

Authorities have identified as Xavier Mackell, 28, of Severn. Mackell was reported missing on Monday; he was last seen on Sunday.
