Fights at Annapolis High School Injure One (Update)
Anne Arundel County Police said no threats face students at Annapolis High School, but several teens were arrested after fights Thursday.

Updated at 12:30 p.m. Friday ANNAPOLIS, MD — A fight at the start of the school day mushroomed into a larger brawl and forced Thursday evening activities to be canceled at Annapolis High School, officials said. One student was treated for a superficial wound when a metal prong from a hair comb/pick was stuck in the teen's neck behind his ear, Anne Arundel County Police said.
The fight began about 7:15 a.m. Thursday, and the school resource officer at the high school called for more officers to assist him. Within two minutes the fight was under control, police say. In all, seven boys were charged Thursday; one student was not charged at the school but has charges pending.
There were no other injuries to students, teachers or officers.
