Anne Arundel Flood Warning Extended By Weather Service

The National Weather Service extended the flood warning until Wednesday morning for parts of Anne Arundel County.

ANNAPOLIS, MD — Flooding continues in coastal Maryland, as the National Weather Service has extended the flood warning for parts of Anne Arundel County and a flash flood watch remains for much of the area.

The flash flood watch has been extended to 6 p.m. Wednesday and the flood warning has been extended to 10 a.m. Wednesday.

Thunderstorms are expected to continue soaking the region today. "Intervals of showers and thunderstorms are expected through today, with multiple rounds of torrential rainfall possible. Given saturated soil from this weekend's rainfall, repetitive heavy rain may result in flash flooding," the National weather Service said.
