Fuddruckers Closed for Contaminated Food
Health Department closes eatery on Wednesday, re-opens on Thursday, after finding pellets believed to be rat poison near food.

The Anne Arundel County Department of Health closed the Fuddruckers near Westfield Annapolis mall Wednesday afternoon, saying contaminated food was found there.
The restaurant re-opened the next day.
Health Department officials closed the Jennifer Road restaurant at 2 p.m. According to a release, officials said "unidentified green pellets resembling rodenticide were found in some of the restaurants food preparation containers."

Fuddruckers destroyed the tainted food that was found and sanitized all items that may have come in contact with the suspected poison, according to the release.
The restaurant reopened on March 17.
Rodenticide ingestion in a small dose presents a low or no risk of harm to
human health, according to the health department release.

"Individuals who have eaten at Fuddruckers within the last two weeks and who
have signs of illness are advised to call their health care provider or the
Maryland Poison Center," officials said in the release.
