Glen Burnie Man Dies in Car Vs Motorcycle Crash: Police
A man who collided with a turning car died Wednesday at Shock Trauma, according to Anne Arundel County Police.

GLEN BURNIE, MD — A Glen Burnie motorcyclist died from injuries he suffered when he was hit by a driver, according to Anne Arundel County Police.
John Thomas McCormick, 35, of Glen Burnie, died Wednesday from his injuries suffered the day before in a crash on Hospital Drive near Elvaton Road in Glen Burnie.
A 2014 KIA Forte driven by Sarai Dews, 25, of Essex was westbound on Hospital Drive turning left into the parking lot when it was struck by an eastbound 2001 Honda CBR900 motorcycle driven by McCormick. The motorcyclist was thrown from the bike and taken to Shock Trauma in Baltimore with critical injuries. Police say Dews was not injured.

The preliminary cause of the crash is a failure to yield right-of-way on a left turn by Dews, police say, but based on a witness statement, investigators believe that excessive speed on the part of McCormick may be a mitigating factor.
It is not believed that alcohol was involved in the accident. McCormick was wearing a helmet but he did not have a motorcycle license, police say.
