Heroin, Crack Cocaine Found After Traffic Stop: Police

A Glen Burnie traffic stop turned up heroin and crack cocaine, say Anne Arundel County Police, who charged a man with drug trafficking.

GLEN BURNIE, MD — An early-morning traffic stop turned up a cache of heroin, crack cocaine and cash in the vehicle of a Baltimore man, according to Anne Arundel County Police.

About 2:25 a.m. Thursday, an officer saw a vehicle traveling on Marley Station Road swerving and crossing the double yellow line. As the vehicle turned onto Baltimore Annapolis Boulevard, the driver reportedly failed to stop for a red light, so the officer stopped the vehicle at Baltimore Annapolis Boulevard near Scott Avenue in Glen Burnie.

During a search of the vehicle police found about 20 grams of suspected crack cocaine with an estimated street value of $2,000; 51 suspected heroin gel caps with an estimated street value of $510; 13 Carisoprodol pills, a prescription muscle relaxant; and $1,336 in cash.
