Heroin Trafficker Arrested Twice in One Week With 143 Gel Caps: Police
A Pasasdena man was arrested twice in a week for selling heroin; an Odenton man is also charged with distributing heroin, police say.
PASADENA, MD — A Pasadena man under surveillance by Anne Arundel County narcotics officers was arrested last week on charges of selling heroin, then busted again on similar charges after a search of his house turned up more heroin. An Odenton man with the suspect also faces drug trafficking charges.
Police say the 143 gel caps of heroin found in a car and a Pasadena residence would be worth an estimated $1,716 on the street.
The first arrest happened Dec. 6 during a drug-related traffic stop when police reportedly recovered 85 gel capsules of suspected heroin and a large amount of heroin packaging material. Detectives arrested two suspects during the stop:

- Thomas Michael Leonard Jr., 28, of the 8400 block of Bussenius Road in Pasadena
- Eric William Munk, 47, of the 1400 block of Amethyst Court in Odenton
Both men are charged with possession of heroin with intent to distribute, possession of a controlled substance that is not marijuana - heroin, and three counts of possession of drug paraphernalia.
A narcotics search and seizure warrant executed at Leonard's home in Pasadena on Dec. 14 led to his arrest a second time. Police say they found illegal drugs and items used in drug sales at the residence.

Items seized from the house include:
- One clear plastic bag containing 58 gel capsules of suspected heroin
- Two Samsung Verizon flip phones
- Digital scale with white powder residue
- Two plastic bags containing multiple empty gel capsules
- One glass smoking device with suspected crack cocaine residue
- And $631 in cash
As a result of the raid at his house, Leonard faces another round of charges:
- Possession with intent to distribute heroin
- Possession of heroin
- Possession of drug paraphernalia - two counts
